- Starting May 2015 off right!!
I'm starting May 2015 off right...with a show!
I will be opening for the critically-acclaimed American singer-songwriter, Andrew Bemis. Fresh off of a tour with John Reilly, doing a NPR Tiny Desk Concert in February, and travelling only by public transportation or foot, he will be in Denver for one night only! If you like some good banjo, guitar, and fiddle music, don't miss this!
$7 early bird.
$10 at the door.
$2 discount (when purchasing at the door) if you walk, bike, or take public transportation! If you rollerblade, we might look at you funny, but you'll still get the discount.
Doors @ 7:30pm, Show starts @ 8pm
Come have a listen this weekend in downtown Denver at The Bakery!
Hope to see you then!
- Benefit for Prax(us) raised over $2K!
Thanks to everyone who came out to the show last weekend - and to everyone who played with me!
We had a great turnout of over 100 people and raised over $2,000 for Prax(us)!
Check out the Photos page for a few pictures from the show. Here is one of my favorite, since it has the whole band in it, taken by Erin Sharp:
- Fun show for a great cause next month
I'm excited to announce that Jenny, Sonia and I (as well as some surprise musical guests...) will be playing a show in one month (on May 10) to benefit a great organization called Prax(us) that works to end human trafficking in Colorado.
Lots of people are joining in to make this a great event. We've got food and drink donations, an incredible venue, and a whole slew of great songs to play for you!
All we need you to do is show up, bring whatever money you can to help donate to the cause (or if you want to donate food/drinks let me know on my Contact page), and have a great time with us!
Here are the details, which can also be found on the "Shows" page of my website:
Come join us (Andrea Lynn, Jennifer Thompson, Sonia Graber and some special musical guests) at The Bakery in downtown Denver on May 10 for some new tunes, locally made/delicious food and [adult] beverages, and lots of FUN! And best of all, the proceeds go directly to help a great cause!
Also: beer by John and Gary * rolls by Frank * chocolate by Ralph * pickles by Real Dill * piano by Vern * venue by Daniel * wine by Beer Lovers * refreshments by friends of Women Beyond BordersHere's a video of us practicing an old Gospel tune, Keep Your Lamps!, that we're looking forward to playing for you LIVE on May 10!
- When: Saturday, May 10 @ 7:30 PM
- Where: The Bakery (2132 Market Street, Denver, CO 80205)
- Why: To have fun and raise some money for a great organization, called Prax(us): "the only organization in Colorado dedicated to serving individuals, particularly homeless youth, in or vulnerable to domestic human trafficking situations. We are dedicated to ending human trafficking. We address the root causes of exploitation" (website: http://www.praxus.org/)
- Suggested donation of $10 at the door. All proceeds go to Prax(us) who helps to end human trafficking.
- We're back!
Good news: I got the band back together!
...and we will be playing a show next weekend!
How would you like to come hear some words about "pyrotheology" by someone traveling all the way here from Northern Ireland? If so, this show is for you!
Andrea Lynn along with Jennifer Thompson and Sonia Graber will be playing a short (30 minute) set at First Mennonite Church on March 2 at 6:00 pm before Northern Irish writer, public speaker, philosopher and theologian, Peter Rollins, speaks.
Check out the Shows page for more information.
For more information about Peter Rollins, check out his website at http://peterrollins.net/
Question: Where else would you like to see us play? We are currently looking at different venue options to play at this spring and would most definitely take any suggestions/requests into consideration.
Lastly, here is a little photo of us getting ready....
